The stars who looked their best at the 36th Hong Kong Film Awards

Updated on April 13 2017

The 36th Hong Kong Film Awards presentation ceremony took place at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre last night, with Gordon Lam, Kara Wai, Eric Tsang and Elaine Jin taking home top acting awards, while Best Film, another biggest awards of the night, went to Crime thriller Trivisa, marking the second time in row that a controversial indie movie won top prize.

While we congratulate all the winners of the night for their dedication and hard work over the past year(s), we would also like to shine a light on those who were looking their best at the red carpet, as a way to show respect towards one of the biggest event in the Hong Kong film industry. For this year’s ceremony, instead of donning over-the-top gowns and tuxedos, many of the actors and actresses chose to wear black/white, drawing the focus on the accessories. Scroll down to see some of our favourite attire of the night, and take a closer look at what they were wearing.

Miriam Yeung

Miriam Yeung, one of the presenters at last night’s ceremony, wore a gown from Dolce & Gabbana, graced a number of dazzling pieces from Bulgari‘s high jewellery collection, which has a total value of over HK$16 million.
