The weather is hot as can be at the moment, but so, too, is Bangkok’s dining scene, which never ceases to deliver new and exciting spots to thrill the foodies amongst us. This month is no exception, with newcomers including a “modern eclectic” restaurant helmed by a Gaggan alum, a new destination for barbecue lovers, and so much more. Feeling hungry yet? Check out these 7 new Bangkok restaurants to try this May.
A yellow, shophouse-style restaurant situated in the heart of Ploen Chit, Gaa offers an inventive range of international delights — or what chef Garima Arora calls “modern eclectic”. Former sous chef at Gaggan and former chef de partie at Noma, Chef Garima combines modern culinary techniques and local organic ingredients to craft novel flavour combinations. Beveled mirrors, white bricks, and dark wood lend Gaa modern allure, whilst the intriguing tasting menus, including a juice-pairing option, all brim with originality.
